South Australian 2009 Fisheries Regulation changes

Murray cod - reduced catch limits
New Murray cod catch limits for recreational fishers are now in place. Note that the closed season for Murray cod will now start on 1 August 2008, instead of 1 September. Details about catch limits and legal lengths and closed seasons.

Murray Cod Season closes for the whole of 2009

A temporary closed season for Murray cod will come into effect from January 1, 2009 and continue until July 31 when the existing seasonal closure (August 1 to December 31) comes into effect.
These new arrangements effectively close the Murray cod fishery to all fishing activity for all of 2009.
